This short cinematic works like a quick-time event between players as judging by who hits which button first: If the attacker hits a button first, they have a chance to strike their opponent and do additional damage, but if the opponent his a button first they will instead dodge the hit and land in the next part of the stage on their feet (thus not giving the player any tactical advantage) The Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution titles have a stage-transition mechanic, where if a character is knocked off the ground in a specific location of the stage, they will be "launched" into another part of the stage with the attacker in pursuit. ![]() Many "leader" characters in this game from the previous Western-exclusive Clash of Ninja Revolution (Baki, Yugao, Kurenai) return in this game, as do the story-exclusive characters (Towa, Komachi, Bando, Kagura) that originally debuted in Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2. The game's roster, with the exception of Chiyo and Anbu Kakashi, is identical to the roster in Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! EX 3. While the story is fairly original and only covers up to about the Kazekage Rescue Arc, the game's character selection spans from the beginning of the Naruto Shippuden series to the end of the Akatsuki Suppression Arc. The second bout of ninja-kid fighting comes to the US this fall - now with four-player fights and even more anime goodness. ![]() Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 has a total of 40 playable characters. ![]()
